Zimbabwean-born afro-pop and jazz musician Ammara Brown arrived in the country on Wednesday through Chileka Airport promising best performance at the Orange Blossom Ball dinner fundraiser scheduled for Kamuzu Place in Lilongwe.

Friends of the People’s Party (PP) are behind the event to raise funds for the party ahead of the tripartite elections.

Speaking at a press briefing upon arrival in Blantyre, the artist said she is ready to prove her fame by giving out the best during the event.

The musician said it is a great honour for her to be invited by President Joyce Banda to perform at the event.

This will be the first time for the artist to perform in Malawi. However, she visited the country twice before.

“I feel very humbled and honored at the same time for being given this chance to perform. It gives me more pleasure to perform before president Banda,” she said, adding she will prove her appreciation with a brilliant performance.

Brown revealed her new album is out and patrons will sample some of the hits in the album at the show. She said she dreams to hold a concert with Theo Thomson in future.
